Born in Philadelphia, Eileen Mislove lives in Brooklyn and works there out of the studio in Dumbo she shares with her husband, the artist, Marty Greenbaum.

Her art is marked and influenced by the education she received at the Cooper Union School of Art and by an early background as a professional dancer with the Ballet Español Ximenez~Vargas as well as a multi-faceted career in design. Recognition of her early design work was highlighted by the Museum at F.I.T. in its 2000 exhibition ‘A Woman’s Hand: Designing Textiles in America 1945-1969’ and the subsequent archiving of that body of work in the Museum’s collections.

Eileen Mislove has been a member of the faculty at the Fashion Institute of Technology for many years where she currently teaches Painting on Fabric.
